The construction menu

The tutorial will now familiarise you step by step with the various features of the game. First it will show you how to use the construction menu to upgrade your gold mines and your other important infrastructure. In this menu you will find information about the costs and contruction duration of the next gold mine upgrade level.

Then you will be instructed to provide for a steady flow of humans, your second vital resource. Upgrades for the village are carried out in the same manner as those for the gold mines, namely by clicking on the image of the building to be upgraded. The next step is construction of a university in your main colony.

Once the university has been built, you can start your first research project, which is (if you follow the tutorial) level 1 of the special units research.
